David Moyes has played down suggestions West Ham could be busy in the January transfer window.
The club spent around £150m over the course of the summer after two successful seasons under the Scot, although are yet to see much of a return.
Such investment has yielded only four Premier League wins thus far, albeit The Irons have impressed in the Europa Conference League.
While Moyes is under pressure, there are currently no plans to replace him, such has been the job he’s done since returning to the club in December 2019.
Sao Paulo defender Luizao will join Moyes’ side on January 1 upon the expiration of his contract but the 20-year-old is not expected to feature in the first-team.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Moyes backed the club’s board for their spending in the summer and revealed he did not expect a busy January.
“I have to say the board did really well by us and spent a good amount of money in the summer, we brought in nine new players, which is more than anybody would want to do, really,” he said.
“But we needed it because we’ve got a European campaign again and because of the amount of games we played in the year before.
“Even this season I think we’ve played more games than any other Premier League team at this stage of the season, so we needed to add those players.
“But January will probably be a no, unless we need something through injury or someone comes available.
“But, in truth, I don’t see us doing much business, no.”
