Wenger and Van Basten on crash course over Gunner Van Persie

Holland boss Marco van Basten has put himself on collision course with Arsenal's French boss Arsene Wenger by naming Robin van Persie in his Holland squad for the friendly with Austria on 26 March.

Van Persie, Arsenal's top scorer last season, has only just returned from a long-standing thigh injury picked up on international duty and Wenger will be reluctant to risk him in a non-competitive match.

Meanwhile Theo Walcott is expected to return for the home meeting with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The striker missed last week's clash with Wigan after picking up a minor thigh injury during the behind-closed-door friendly against US club Colorado Rapids.
