Cheryl and Liam Payne made their red carpet debut as a couple at this year's Global Gift Gala in Paris.

The musical pair put on an amorous display as they stepped out hand-in-hand for the event at the Hotel George V.

Cheryl looked stunning in a halterneck pink dress which she teamed with minimal jewellery, while Payne opted for a black suit and white shirt.

The former One Direction singer was clearly enamoured by his date and struggled to take his eyes off of her as they posed up a storm for photographers.

At one point Payne was pictured whispering into Cheryl's ear, who in turn couldn't stop smiling.

The couple flew into the 'city of love' on Monday ahead of the event where the former Girls Aloud singer was honoured by actress Eva Longoria for her charity work.

Speaking about receiving the Global Gift Philanthropist Award for Cheryl's Trust she said: "I am honoured to be this year's recipient of the Global Gift Gala Philanthropist Award. I'm proud of where I grew up but I'm only too aware of the challenges that young people face.

"I want to give back and help young people who feel like they'll never achieve anything reach their dreams and live a happy life."

Payne praised his girlfriend on Twitter, writing: "So proud of her tonight such a special award #GlobalGiftGala."

The couple's loved up display comes a week after a video surfaced appearing to show Cheryl rejecting Payne's romantic advances at a Rihanna gig.

Payne attempted to lean in for what looked like a kiss but was left looking crestfallen after Cheryl ignored his affection and continued to dance to B**** Better Have My Money.

Cheryl was also joined on the red carpet at Monday night's event by Longoria who worked the cameras in a white dress with a striking thigh high slit.

The pair later shared a video of themselves on Face Swap with Cheryl commenting: "We don’t actually look that different."

Other attendees included girl group Stooshe and Ronan Keating who was honoured with the Global Gift Excellence Award for his work with the Marie Keating Foundation.
