London's Tate Modern was transformed into the world’s most glamorous party place as guests celebrated the Royal Premiere of Skyfall.

Scores of A-list celebrities partied in the gallery after the screening, attended by Prince Charles and Camilla at the Royal Albert Hall.

Among the guests were Mohammed Al-Fayed, Emeli Sande, Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sam Mendes, Minnie Driver and Victoria Pendleton.

Bond Girls Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe both underwent stunning dress changes for the party. Marlohe chose a see-though black lace dress and delighted fans as she signed autographs before walking the red carpet into the Turbine Hall.

Glamour model Kelly Brook, who wore a low-cut floor-length gold sequined dress was one of the first guests the leave the after party, less than an hour and a half after arriving.

Heading into the party, dressed in understated black velvet top and trousers comedian Miranda Hart said the film was “amazing”.

Guest Tom Denning, 24, a musician from central London, said: “The film was a homage to Bond over time. It was a nod to Bond of the past, but it was really a film where old meets new.

“The premier experience is fantastic. We all stood for Prince Charles and Camilla. People were told to stay in their places until the couple left, but people started leaving before them anyway! The after party is amazing.”

Guest Egija Zviedre, 25, an actress who worked with Daniel Craig in a Heineken commercial from South Kensington, said: “The fact that the royal couple were at the premiere gave the night a real touch of class. The film itself was very 007, but it was also really interesting as you learn a lot about him. The whole night is a stunning reminder of the power of Bond.”

Xerxes Cook, 30, an editor from Bloomsbury, said: “It was brilliant, the film had a wonderful flow to it. Javier Bardem brought the Bond villain to life - he has such charisma and a very expressive face. He was fantastic.”

Bardem attended the after party with wife Penelope Cruz, who wore a stunning gold dress, but kept a low profile, and did not pose for pictures.

Dame Judi Dench, 77, who plays M, signed autographs for fans for longer than any other high profile guest heading into the party.

Bond fan Sina Zommer, 18 a student from Germany, was outside the Tate Modern trying to get a glimpse of the stars as they heading into the galleries, which are housed in the former Bankside Power Station.

She said: “It has been really fun. It was brilliant to see all the characters in real life. You don’t really think of them as normal people. It seemed like everyone famous was here tonight!”
