Susanna Reid says she’s ‘allergic’ to Piers Morgan after sneezing on Good Morning Britain

The GMB host was forced to pause an interview

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid joked that she’s “allergic” to co-host Piers Morgan after sneezing on air.

Reid was mid-way through interviewing a guest with Morgan, who’d returned to the studio after a day away, when she interrupted the segment to sneeze.

Susanna said, “Sorry, I’m about to…” before turning her chair around so as not be caught on camera sneezing.

Morgan explained that his colleague has been suffering from hay fever, saying: “She’s crippled with hayfever and really beginning to deteriorate.” He then suggested Reid was losing her touch, adding: “You’ve never seemed so slightly out of control as you are today.”

But Reid, fresh from her sensational put down of Morgan last week, wasn’t having any of it and, instead of blaming the pollen in the air, retorted: “It’s because you’re back in the studio and I’m actually allergic to you.”

Her comment comes just days after a clip of the presenter silencing co-host Morgan with a withering quip went viral.

As he ranted about opinionated family members and friends sharing their political views on social media, Reid commented: “I know what you mean. When someone keeps going on and on and on and you just need respite and a break.

“And you just wish you could defriend them but you’re just forced every day to listen to their views. I know exactly how you feel.”
