Piers Morgan has revealed he received death threats claiming militant group ISIS will behead him.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, who is accustomed to abusive tweets, said he has received several warnings about airing his controversial opinions on Twitter.

But, despite being inundated with abuse, Morgan said he is more concerned by the levels of bad spelling.

“I was told I was going to get beheaded by ISIS,” he told Digital Spy. “But I like getting death threats like that because the people tend to misspell ‘you’re’. They tell me, ‘Your going to be beheaded by ISIS’ – so I correct their grammar and the next thing you know, the tweet is deleted.

“My favourite thing is when you reply, then go onto their account and it says ‘account deleted’.”

Susanna Reid rinses Piers Morgan on GMB

He continued: “I don't get scared of death threats on Twitter. It's not the people who threaten you that you should be worried about, it's the people who are quiet about it! So no, it doesn't upset me.”

The opinionated broadcaster was royally roasted mid-rant as he moaned about his family and friends publicising their political views on Facebook.

Venting his frustration he said: “I get annoyed with people when they start banging on about politics on Facebook. I’ve had to unfriend family members. I need some respite.

In an attempt to cut him off, Reid jumped in: “I know what you mean. When someone keeps going on and on and on and you just need respite and a break.

“And you just wish you could defriend them but you’re just forced every day to listen to their views. I know exactly how you feel.”
