The final series of Lewis is drawing to a close on ITV, with several stories waiting to be wrapped up.

Leading into the final episode, the fates of Lewis and Hathaway were left to be decided after an explosion – but it doesn’t take a detective to work out that the title character of the show wasn’t obliterated in the blast before his big finale.

Of course though, with this being the final episode ever, nobody is truly safe.

The question of who’s sending the parcel bombs still looms, as another suspicious parcel arrives at the home of Adam Capstone’s brother David.

Most intriguing of all is what will happen to Lewis himself – he’s concerned about securing another contract with the Oxfordshire police, but the prospect of taking some time off and heading off to New Zealand with DI Laura Hobson is understandably tantalising.
