There are many ways to fall over – from a light wobble, to a full-on trip, or a no-hope topple.

Whatever you classify it as, John Barrowman just took a particularly spectacular tumble on the set of Loose Women – on live TV.

The gaffe came during This Morning, as the show cut over to the Loose Women studio to preview what the female chat show would have in store.

What viewers didn’t expect was for Barrowman to slam backwards out of the shot – all the while wearing a huge pair of bright red high heels.

The actor attempted to put his legs on the Loose Women desk to show off his fancy footwear, but lost his balance and disappeared behind the furniture as he fell out of shot.

His fans needn’t worry though – the actor is absolutely fine (perhaps a bit bruised), and though the fall caused an initial outcry of shock, the entire studio dissolved into laughter, Barrowman included.

The Loose Women Twitter account was quick to post an update simply saying “He’s OK, he’s OK!”, as well as a short video with Barrowman just to prove that he’s definitely still alive.

Barrowman is currently promoting his Young Adult book Conjuror, written with his sister Carole.

This isn’t the only shock to hit Loose Women this week – on Tuesday, Katie Price’s son Harvey caused a stir when he said the c-word live on air.
