I’m A Celebrity's Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are lost at sea in new teaser trailer

Viewers can get involved in their 'journey' by voting on the I'm A Celebrity app

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are all adrift in the first teaser clip for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The brief trailer shows the presenting partners stranded at sea in the HMS Bushtucker after losing their map.

Donnelly jokes that the pair "should have got the bus to Australia" before berating McPartlin for reading the map "upside down" - until it is whipped from his hands by the breeze.

The clip finishes with McPartlin asking "what do we do now?" as a voiceover reveals that viewers can vote on the course of their 'journey' down under on the I'm A Celebrity app.

The interactive campaign allows fans to chose whether the presenters first face ‘tropical tides’ or ‘arctic antics.’

The follow-up scenario which receives the most votes will then be broadcast later.

The Geordie duo have filmed seven different scenarios, with viewers given the option to vote three times throughout the next month ahead of the new series of the star-studded competition.

The presenters uploaded a photo of them posing on the boat in orange life jackets to their Twitter account last week, captioning it: “There’s something exciting on the horizon!! Watch this space and you’ll sea… #ImACeleb.”

ITV also shared the picture on Twitter, writing: “Are you ready to Jungle?! The journey to Australia begins very soon… @antanddec @imacelebrity #ImACeleb.”

Reunited: Donnelly had to team up with Holly Willoughby for last year's series

Last month, the stars posted a photo of themselves reuniting for the show after McPartlin took a break from the series.

The host, 43, was replaced by Holly Willoughby on last year’s series of the ITV reality show while he stepped back from the spotlight following a drink driving incident and a stint in rehab.

The hit show is filmed in Australia every year and is expected to return in November.

Earlier this week, ITV confirmed that former contestants Emily Atack, who was a runner-up in last year’s competition, and Adam Thomas, who went on the show in 2016, would join Joel Dommett as the co-hosts of spin-off series Extra Camp.

“Dust off the Jungle drums… here’s your shiny new #ExtraCamp presenter lineup!” the broadcaster wrote on Twitter. “Get that bug spray packed @joeldommett, @ematack and @adamthomas21.”

“I’m thrilled that I get to make more amazing memories in a place that means so much to me!,” Atack said. “I’ve loved working with Joel on Singletown, we’re like brother and sister, and Adam has got such amazing energy. The three of us are going to have the best time ever.”

Thomas added: “I can’t believe that I’m heading back to the jungle, this is something I never saw coming my way! I’m so excited to be reunited with my campmate Joel and to also work alongside Emily. We’re going to have so much fun… just keep me away from those spiders!”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is expected to return to ITV in November.
