Love Island’s Eve Gale has spoken about “panicking” during her time in the villa, and how she is coping without her twin Jess since leaving the show.

The 20-year-old student walked into the ITV2 show with her sister but was forced to leave after the first official dumping of the winter series.

In a brutal twist, Nas Majeed was forced to choose between Eve and Jess which left the siblings weeping during an emotional goodbye scene.

Speaking on Standard Online’s weekly series Off The Island, Eve admitted that, despite being around her twin who she shares a close bond with, she also struggled with overthinking and bad dreams while on the show.

“When I am in there, I think I overthought everything,” she said. “You worry about everything because you are just sat there and you don’t have your phone, you don’t have your family, your friends, you don’t have that normal reassurance to kind of bring you back to reality - and it isn’t reality, it is all so surreal.”

She added: “So a lot of the time it’s quite hard, it’s tough because you are just thinking about the outside world.

“I was worrying, I was panicking and having really weird dreams. It’s just really odd.”

Eve, who believes contestants Mike Boateng and Leanne Amaning could make it all the way to the final, admitted that the new villa in Cape Town, South Africa, was so big, it was easy to "get lost."

"There are so many doors that open up to secret little places and camera and back rooms," she explained. "It’s just huge.”

She added: “I would, like, open the door and it would just be a production room and I’m not meant to be in there.”

When asked if there are any blind spots in the villa, she said: “There’s cameras everywhere, there is no escaping. Apart from the toilets there are camera’s everywhere. Yeah, there’s no privacy.”

Friday’s Love Island will tease another contestant being given the boot in the second dumping of the current series.
