One of the best things about Love Island is the memes and this year's series has not disappointed.

Plenty of scenes and Islanders have inspired hilarious posts, though not all of them are particularly complimentary.

Connor Durman has been the subject of a series of posts which light-heartedly compare him to Netflix character,Joe Goldberg, from You.

Fans of the show flooded Twitter with memes after the coffee bean expert accused Sophie Piper of "celebrating" the arrival of two new bombshells.

Later they had another mini-fight after Sophie was invited on a date by new boy Connagh - and Twitter has exploded people pointing out a supposed resemblance between Conor and the super creepy Joe...

In case you cant remember, Joe may seem charming and easy on the eye at first glance, but it's quickly revealed he's a psychotic serial killer with a penchant for becoming obsessed with one woman at a time.

While nobody is suggesting Connor is anywhere near as callous Joe, comparisons have been made: ​

It appears Connor and Sophie's bust-up may have come to an end, with Thursday night's episode revealing the pair had a chat to discuss their feelings, during which Sophie explained she was only messing around and didn't feel his reaction was warranted.

Connor then apologised to Sophie for his outburst, before pulling Connagh aside for a quick chat about his feelings.
