Twins to nominate with the new BB men

The Big Brother twins will nomintate this week
5 April 2012

The two new men in Big Brother have chosen twins Sam and Amanda Marchant to nominate with them this week.

Gerry Stergiopoulos and Seany O'Kane interviewed each housemate and asked why they thought they deserved the right to nominate.

Amanda was the first interviewee and said: "I think throughout this week everyone's had arguments. About real petty stuff. I think me and Sam... we wouldn't hold a grudge about anyone. We haven't had an argument with anyone.

We've seen everything that's gone on. If you wanted fair results, I'd be good."

After completing the interviews, and some deliberation, Gerry and Seany revealed their decision.

"The first one, in alphabetical order, will be...Amanda," announced Gerry.

The room was quiet for a moment before Amanda leapt up to kiss them, squeaking "thank you, thank you".

After things had calmed down a little, Gerry told the group: "We put a lot of thinking into if the people chosen can cope with the pressure."

Seany then added: "And at the very end, we changed again."

He then announced. "The second person that we have chosen will be...Sam."

Again the room went quiet for a second, before Sam got to her feet and thanked the boys.

Carole Vincent then shouted: "A very good decision."

Finally, Gerry added: "Honesty and innocence are very, very good strengths and if we can say for certain that anyone doesn't have a game plan,
it's the twins."

Bookmaker William Hill has said that newcomer Gerry is now the 7-1 favourite to win while Seany is a 25-1 outsider.

William Hill spokeswoman Jennie Prest said: "From first impressions, Gerry is really cheerful and the punters have really taken to him as a potential winner, whereas Seany hasn't endeared himself at all.

"But it's still early days and all the housemates have something to prove before a true favourite emerges."

Chanelle Hayes, Tracey Barnard and Ziggy Lichman are joint second favourites at 8-1.

According to the bookmaker, Charley Uchea is least likely to win, on odds of 50-1.
