Game of Thrones is coming to an end after years of dragons, prophecies and Dany’s penchant for wearing going out tops, even while heading into battle.

In the second to last 80-minute installment, Dany and Cersei attempted to out Mad Queen each other while the final dragon went Dracarys all over King’s Landing. It was a bloodbath.

But the piece de resistance was when the much-anticipated battle between brothers finally arrived.

Super fans have been calling for Cleganebowl since the start of the series. For those who don't spend their days scouring fan theories on Reddit, Cleganebowl is the much-anticipated fight between Sandor "The Hound" Clegane and his brother, Ser Gregor Clegane, better known as The Mountain. The brothers fought once before, but it was all the way back in season one. The Hound and The Mountain faced off in front of a crowd until King Robert Baratheon told them both to stand down - since then, they've been itching for a rematch and so has Twitter.

On tonight's bloody episode, The Hound finally went up against his brother, who famously burned his face when they were children, leaving him with scars for the rest of his life.

HBO

Their flight was as bloody as possible, ending with both brothers tumbling into a fiery pit, but only after The Hound was blinded and The Mountain received a blade to his forehead (if you're at all squeamish, probably better to fast forward).

Despite the bloody battle, Twitter was on fire with the news. Here are some of Twitter's best eactions to the gruesome fight.

Some people were reminded of Harry Potter and Voldemort's battle.

As King's Landing burned others were simply happy that one promised portion of GoT had finally happened.

But some were a bit disappointed in the outcome.

And felt just as exhausted as the characters by the end of the episode.

Especially since Cleganebowl, after years of hype, basically ended in a tie.
