Celebrity Big Brother viewers have slated the show’s new format after the launch night episode featured entrance interviews with the new housemates.

Despite being less than five minutes in length, fans on Twitter branded the celebrities’ chats with host Emma Willis ‘boring’ and ‘annoying’.

One wrote: “What’s with these sit down interviews? Just get them in there. No need for this #CBB”

Another commented: Not sure if it’s the Emma sit down interviews but I’m finding this one of the flatter #CBB live launches I can remember.”

While a third tweeted: “Nah the interviews beforehand are annoying me already #cbb”

Not all viewers were displeased with the programme’s new structure, with some saying they made the launch ‘more enjoyable’.

“The pre-entrance interviews and fewer HMs entering have made the launch more enjoyable for me. I feel like I actually know something about each of the HMs rather than just chucking them all in,” posted one.

“Okay LOVE the pre-entry interviews, a nice addition. An all-woman house means we’re getting housemates who might have otherwise said no #CBB,” stated another.
