Zenden <i>is</i> in talks with Chelsea

Barcelona today confirmed Boudewijn Zenden is in talks with Chelsea with a view to joining the Premiership club.

A spokesman for the Spanish club confirmed the Dutch winger was in England to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge."He flew to London last night to discuss terms with Chelsea," he said.

"He doesn't foresee any problems with the transfer but as yet the agents involved haven't communicated the results of the talks."

Zenden left Barca's training camp to go to Brussels yesterday with the Spanish club saying he was talking to another club.

However, there was no confirmation from Chelsea that it was they who were the team.

Valued in the ?£7million bracket by Barca last season, Zenden has become a peripheral figure at the Nou Camp with fellow Dutchman Marc Overmars ahead of him for the left-wing berth
