Woods ends the drought

Tiger Woods shot a four-under-par 68 to win the Buick Invitational by three strokes in California.

Woods, who had not won a strokeplay tournament since October 2003, began the final round two shots behind co-leaders Tom Lehman and England's Luke Donald.

A birdie at the final hole gave him a 16-under-par total of 272, securing his 41st career victory on the US Tour and his third in the Buick.

Lehman missed a short par putt on 18 to finish tied for second with Donald and Charles Howell on 275.
