Wood called into England squad

Gloucester prop Nick Wood has been called into the England squad as cover for the injured Andrew Sheridan.

Martin Johnson, who will name his team to play New Zealand at mid-day, sent for the uncapped Wood as Sheridan continues to undergo treatment on the neck injury that ruled him out of England's 42-6 defeat to South Africa last weekend.

Johnson also has injury concerns over inside centre Riki Flutey, who was replaced after 32 minutes against the Springboks with a hamstring problem.

Yesterday Ben Kay was called into the squad as cover for Tom Palmer, who is undergoing treatment for a tight right calf.
