Wise is not frightened of leaders

Dennis Wise takes his young Millwall side to Championship leaders Wigan insisting they have nothing to fear.

Injuries and suspensions have hit Millwall's squad hard in recent weeks. However, player-manager Wise has faith in his men after they drew 1-1 at home to Leeds last Sunday.

"We are looking forward to it after our display against Leeds, when we thoroughly deserved a win," said Wise. "The lads have a little bit of confidence and the young lads have come in and done well.

"We have got nothing to lose at Wigan. They are the ones who are under quite a bit of pressure to stay in there because it's very close at the top."

Millwall, who are only three points off a play-off place, could receive a lift from Barry Hayles, if the striker is passed as match fit for the trip north.

Hayles returned to training on Monday following a hamstring problem and could join Danny Dichio in attack.

Mark Phillips is available again after serving a onematch ban, though Alan Dunne and David Livermore remain suspended. Wise (thigh), Kevin Muscat (Achilles) and Paul Ifill (ankle) are out through injury.
