Wise charged by FA

13 April 2012

Dennis Wise was today charged by the Football Association over a tirade against referee Frazer Stretton.

The Millwall manager was furious with the official's display during his side's 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United three weeks ago.

Wise said at the time: "The referee was appalling. I spoke to him very nicely afterwards." He's been charged with "using abusive and/or insulting words to an match official".
