White confirms Sarries return

12 April 2012

World Cup-winning coach Jake White has confirmed he will return to Saracens on a consultancy basis for two weeks in the new year.

White spent last week working on defensive drills with Saracens and helped them to a 23-6 win over Worcester in the Guinness Premiership.

After the game, director of rugby Eddie Jones revealed his desire to get White back on board, and the former South Africa coach said: "I will be back at Saracens for a week in January and a week in February. I am consulting to Saracens to help Eddie. It is a tough competition in the northern hemisphere and it is nice to have a new voice, some new ideas."

Jones added: "We obviously get on well and we complement each other in the way we do things.

"He will have a look on what we are doing and seeing where we can improve. He worked specifically on our defence last week but it could be in other areas. It is about adding value to our team."
