Waugh waits until Saturday

13 April 2012

Australian Test star Mark Waugh will be questioned by the International Cricket Council on Saturday over an Indian bookmaker's allegations he was paid £15,000. Australian Cricket Board special investigator Greg Melick and the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption unit, led by former Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Paul Condon, will see Waugh in Melbourne.

The allegations, made by bookie MK Gupta, were contained in an Indian police report. The meeting comes the day after Australia's Tri-Nations one-day match with the West Indies.
