13 April 2012

Watford manager Gianluca Vialli damaged Norwich City's play-off chances as his side finally got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road.

Vialli said: "Our performance didn't surprise me because I've always known we are capable of playing this way. But we have disappointed this season and finally we gave the fans something.

"We were able to repay them because the football we played in the first half was solid, and effective."

Watford were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to goals from Micah Hyde and Allan Nielsen while Iwan Roberts replied for City.
