Walker misses Cas trip

Hull KR fear centre Chev Walker could have broken his foot.

Walker was sent to hospital for an X-ray after suffering prolonged discomfort from an injury sustained in last week's engage Super League derby win over Hull.

The 26-year-old has definitely been ruled out of Sunday's trip to Castleford.

Rovers coach Justin Morgan said: "He's been on crutches and is finding it hard to put weight through the toe.

"He took a bang in the game and carried on. He was a bit swollen and sore so we sent him for a precautionary scan.

"We just need to wait for the report to see if it's broken or what is wrong."

The injury is the latest in a line of setbacks for Walker, who has been hampered by injuries since joining Rovers last year.

Full-back Shaun Briscoe, however, is confident of proving his fitness to feature at The Jungle.

The England international was knocked out in the early stages of the derby and must undertake an obligatory head test before playing again.

Briscoe, who returned to training on Thursday, said: "I'm fine, hopefully I'll be fit. As long as I pass my head test I can't see any problems."
