Villa heads to Newcastle as Valencia line up for St James' Park friendly

Newcastle will welcome Spanish Cup winners Valencia to St James' Park for a
pre-season friendly.

The La Liga outfit will head for Tyneside on Saturday, August 9, a week before
the Magpies kick off the new Barclays Premier League campaign with a trip to
champions Manchester United.

Valencia currently include among their ranks Spain star David Villa, who has
been linked with a series of suitors across Europe including Liverpool and
Chelsea, and former Anfield frontman Fernando Morientes.
