Vieira ready for aggressive United

FA Cup: Patrick Vieira knows Arsenal have a point to prove on Saturday as well as a Cup to win. "So, we have not beaten them in seven games?" said the Arsenal captain. "Well, Saturday may be the day then."

Recent encounters with Manchester United have been extremely physical - sometimes before the start of the match - and Vieira knows cool heads will be needed at Cardiff.

"What is important is to keep our mind on the game and play our own game," he said. "When we do that and keep the ball on the floor, then we have a good chance of beating them.

"They maybe try to soften us up but that is part of the game and we expect that. But it is the way we respond that will be important. We have to concentrate on football and not react."

Community Shield apart, Arsenal have failed to beat United in the last seven meaningful matches between the two teams. Vieira, though, insists that the difference has often been "small decisions that make a big difference" that have gone in United's favour.

"At Old Trafford this season, the luck was on their side. But they were much better than us at Highbury (United won 4-2 ). They were strong and they were composed. But we will be ready for Saturday.

"Will Roy Keane say something to me in the tunnel? You never know," he added. "I don't mind if he says something. I am ready."
