Vialli reportedly Watford's first choice

13 April 2012

Gianluca Vialli is reportedly Watford's first choice to succeed Graham Taylor as manager.

The Italian, who was sacked by Chelsea earlier this season, has already held talks at Vicarage Road.

A club source told Skysports.com: "The early signs have been encouraging.

"We would be delighted if we could get Vialli but we don't want to waste our time if he's not really interested in coming. The ball in his court."

Taylor has announced his decision to retire at the end of the season after a career whose highlight was taking over the England job.
