Vialli happy with players' effort

13 April 2012

Gianluca Vialli reckoned Watford showed their true potential in last night's 1-1 draw at promotion-chasing West Bromwich.

The result leaves Watford with only one victory in 13 games but Vialli was more interested in the performance.

"We didn't look like a team 20 points behind West Brom in the table," he argued. "It was a great team performance and shows what we can do. We put them under pressure and we could have taken all three points. I was very pleased with the players."

Wayne Brown scored his first goal for Watford to put them in front after 53 minutes but former Queens Park Rangers striker Daniele Dichio headed Albion's equaliser 13 minutes from time.
