Vaughan makes steady start

Captain Michael Vaughan sensibly spent the first session slowly refinding his form as England reached 91-2 at lunch on the first day of the second Test.

Vaughan (25no), who came to the crease after Andrew Strauss (15) slashed behind, took 33 balls to make three runs but then stepped up the gears.

Alastair Cook (42) was looking well set for another big score before he was trapped lbw by Chris Gayle.
