Ugo Monye shrugs off injury

Ugo Monye has given the Lions a major boost by confirming he avoided serious injury despite limping out of the 74-10 win over the Golden Lions.

The tourists played the final eight minutes with 14 men last night after the England player showed signs of trouble following his second try.

Monye was treated behind the posts before hobbling back to the halfway line and although the Lions management had already used up their replacements they decided to take him off to prevent further damage.
