Dana White remains confident of booking Leon Edwards vs Tyron Woodley and Darren Till vs Jack Hermansson for UFC London in March.

Edwards believes victory over former welterweight champion Woodley in the capital will propel him towards a world title shot – with Kamaru Usman defending the 170lbs title against Colby Covington at UFC 245 this weekend.

Woodley has been resistant, however, insisting he will only leave the United States if he is on ‘vacation’.

White however remains hopeful an agreement is coming.

“I hope so, it’s the fight we are trying to make, we want Woodley versus Edwards in London," White told BT Sport. “Obviously Edwards is in, we are waiting on Woodley so we will see how it goes.”

Till could also return to fight at UFC London for the second year running with talks underway for the Liverpudlian to meet Swedish middleweight Hermansson.

“That’s what we are working on,” White added on Till vs Hermansson.

One fight has already been booked for the London card on 21 March with Molly McCann bidding for her fourth consecutive UFC win against Ashlee Evans-Smith.

Danny Roberts and Darren Stewart are also eager to fight on home soil with Londoner Nathaniel Wood hopeful of securing a place on the card in his hometown.

The 22-year-old hasn’t fought since victory at the 2019 show at the O2 Arena but is eager for a meeting with Marlon Vera, the man who beat his trainer Brad Pickett in Pickett’s last fight at UFC London in 2017.

Wood is still to be handed an opponent for the 2020 show, expressing his frustration over the lack of opponents willing to step in the octagon with him.

“Where’s all these bantamweights at?” he wrote on Twitter. “I got to go up in a weight class to actually get matched?”
