Trevor happy to keep going

14 April 2012

Trevor Brooking today said he was more than happy to carry on as West Ham's caretaker manager.

Lawyers representing Reading were back at the High Court today, having issued proceedings against Alan Pardew and Brooking said: "It looks as if I will be there on Saturday in charge for the Gillingham game.

"I don't mind. I always said I would prefer it to be sorted out sooner rather than later, mainly because it gives the incoming person that much longer and the opportunity to do what they feel they would like to do.

"But I have also said that there is no point in putting any pressure on ourselves. From my point of view it is a case of clearing things and carrying on until the situation develops - but I don't think it will be months, just weeks."
