Todd Woodbridge's boob over Kim Clijsters

Rematch: Kim Clijsters

It was game, set and match to Kim Clijsters at the Australian Open today as she got her own back on Todd Woodbridge after he sent a far from flattering text message claiming that she was pregnant.

While watching Clijsters at last week's Sydney International, Woodbridge told fellow commentator Rennae Stubbs that the Belgian must be expecting because "she looks really grumpy and her boobs are bigger".

Unfortunately for him, Stubbs let mum-of-one Clijsters look at the text and the third seed took great delight in making Woodbridge squirm as he interviewed her on court following her 6-1, 6-3 second‑round victory over Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro. The Rod Laver Arena crowd burst into laughter as the seven‑time Grand Slam champion, while clearly taking the text in good humour, revealed all its details and then told Woodbridge: "You thought I was pregnant. Well, no I'm not."

The Australian's face turned as red as his polo shirt as he spluttered: "Thanks very much, there goes my TV career."

As a player, Woodbridge won 18 Slam doubles titles but the 39‑year‑old accepted he was no match for Clijsters and said he had learned his lesson.

"It's my first texting error and I'll never do it again," promised Woodbridge, who works for Australia's Seven Network. "I've got a bone to pick with Stubbsy, though."
