Tim leads British charge

14 April 2012

Tim Henman is in the unusual position of heading a three-strong British challenge at the Cincinnati Masters, which starts today.

Fifth-seed Henman faces Younes El Aynaoui in the first round tomorrow, 24 hours after Greg Rusedski and Arvind Parmar have stepped on court.

Parmar, the British No 3, comes up against fourth-seed Carlos Moya later today, while Rusedski takes on Sweden's Thomas Enqvist.

Henman said: "I've got to try to exploit the fact that Younes hasn't been able to compete for a while because of injury."

Meanwhile, world No1 Roger Federer swept past Andy Roddick 7-5 6-3 to capture the Toronto title and extend his winning streak to 23 matches.
