More than 100,000 tickets went on sale today for next year’s IAAF World Championships in London at the former Olympic Stadium.

Already half a million tickets have been sold for the event, which runs from August 5-13, and the latest batch are available on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are still available for all sessions, including Usain Bolt in the 100m final and Mo Farah in the 10,000m final, starting at £20 for adults and £9.58 for children, a nod to Bolt’s world record time for the 100m.

Dina Asher-Smith will be among the star attractions from a British perspective and the 2016 Olympic 4x100m relay bronze medallist told Standard Sport: “It’s difficult to talk about ambitions for the World Championships as first you need to get there — and that’s hard with the fast times the girls are running right now. But even if I don’t make it as an athlete, I’ll make sure I’ll get a ticket.”
