The moment we want to see

13 April 2012

Standard Sport has brought you the World Cup's greatest moments during our build-up to the tournament which finally gets under way tomorrow.

There's only one picture missing from our collection - and that's David Beckham lifting the glittering trophy after the Final in Yokohama on Sunday 30 June.

The thought of waiting a month to see the Manchester United star do just that was too much to bear so Standard Sport's Rob Brooks created the image we all want to see.

The Evening Standard will be the only paper to bring you all the matches, action, pictures and news as it happens in Japan and Korea. The other papers will be publishing yesterday's news. If you want the World Cup today, not tomorrow, buy the Evening Standard.
