The Lions v New Zealand - Facts and figues

  • The Lions and New Zealand have met each other on 35 occasions. New Zealand lead the series 26-6, with three draws.
  • The Lions' record win over New Zealand was a 20-7 success in Wellington (1993), while the All Blacks boast a best of 38-6 (Auckland, 1983).
  • The three drawn Tests were in 1908 (Wellington), 1950 (Dunedin) and 1971 (Auckland).
  • The Lions' first victory over New Zealand was a 6-3 triumph in Dunedin on June 21, 1930.
