Terry's fury at 'diver' Ballack

Chelsea captain John Terry today labelled Bayern Munich's Michael Ballack a "serial diver".

Terry criticised the German after he earned Bayern Munich a crucial injury-time penalty to give his team a Champions League lifeline in the 90th minute.

The angry defender also accused Dutch referee Rene Temmink of making a "terrible decision".

Ballack scored from the spot kick to narrow Chelsea's lead to 4-2 going into the second leg of their quarter final with Bayern next week.

Terry said: "I've seen it seven times on the TV since and it definitely wasn't a penalty.

"We worked our socks off to get the 4-1 lead and it's disappointing that we conceded that late goal because of a terrible decision from the referee.

"He wasn't listening all night. Not only Ballack but a few other Bayern players were diving and it was disappointing to see. That's not what we're about here in England and it's disappointing to see teams come over and do that sort of thing.

"He's got the penalty but the referee should have been on to him because he was doing it all night."
