It's not too late to grab a slice of the Wimbledon action.

You can apply for tickets to Wimbledon in a public ballot which usually opens 11 months before the Championships and closes at the end of the calendar year. The event is always massively oversubscribed so a computerised system is needed to draw out successful applicants.

Unfortunately, the ballot closed for this year's Championships on December 31st 2016... but all is not lost. You can still make the most of the fortnight by queueing for ground passes and show court tickets.

A limited number of daily tickets for Centre Court, No.1 Court and No.2 Court can be picked for the first nine days of play from £41, but fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite tennis stars on the main show court deep into the second week will be disappointed as all ticket for those days are sold in advance.

However, you can queue for No. 1 Court tickets for each day of the tournament and snap them up for as little as £29.

Ground passes (£25) can be picked up on the day for the entirety of the Championships, but you are advised to get to SW19 early to enjoy a full day of tennis.

Fans arriving at the end of the queue will be handed a dated and numbered queue card which will be checked on entry to the grounds.
