Novak Djokovic, the three-time Wimbledon champion, is used to being the favourite in SW19, but a spell of bad form leaves many questioning whether his game is up to the challenge of winning a fourth title.

The draw has been fairly kind to the Serbian, although Juan Martin del Potro is a match for any player when fit and could prove a tough opponent in round three.

Dominic Thiem is one of tennis’ bright young hopes and defeated Djokovic in straight sets at Roland Garros, but he has never progressed beyond the second round here so there have to be questions about his ability on grass.

The former world No.1 hasn’t won a tournament since January, so getting past the top players would represent a real return to form.

There is no question that Djokovic is the man to beat when he is on his game, and it would be no surprise to see him use the first week to regain that ruthless spark.
