Keothavong: Wimbledon crowds should get behind Brits

First round loss: Anne Keothavong
10 April 2012

Anne Keothavong today criticised the crowds at Wimbledon and urged them to get behind the two remaining British players in the singles draws.

Keothavong lost in the first round on Tuesday but now hopes the fans at the All England Club will show the same passion as an Australian crowd when Andy Murray takes on Ernests Gulbis in the men's draw and for Elena Baltacha, when she faces Kirsten Flipkens.

Keothavong said: "I guess in England everyone is a little more reserved.

"They're probably out to criticise their own players rather than get behind them, rather than giving them all the help they can."
