Fears Radwanska will miss final over breathing illness

Agnieszka Radwanska pulled out of her pre-Wimbledon final press conference today due to illness.

The 23-year-old — the first Pole since Jadwiga Jedrzejowska in 1937 to reach a singles final here — has a “respiratory illness”.

A spokesman for the women’s tour refused to say whether Radwanska’s Centre Court clash with Serena Williams was under threat.

“She has pulled out of the women’s doubles due to a respiratory illness and is struggling to speak today,” said the official.

Radwanska withdrew on Wednesday from the doubles, in which she was competing with sister, Urszula, and cut short interviews after her singles semi-final win over German Angelique Kerber.
