Sweden and Slovakia stay top

Sweden and Slovakia maintained their unbeaten records with big wins to clinch the top spots in their preliminary round groups at the ice hockey world championships in Vienna.

The Swedes crushed Finland 5-1and Slovakia scored four goals in the last 10 minutes as they thrashed hosts Austria 8-1.

Meanwhile, Belarus forward Tsimafei Filin was kicked out of the tournament after a positive test for the steroid nandrolone.
