Fly half Chris Sutton scored 18 points as Pangbourne College ended an historic cup run by the Marlow school Sir William Borlase with a 28-8 away win.

Pangbourne coach Roger Cheeseman admitted: 'I'm relieved because I watched Borlase win at Bishop Wordsworth in the last round and was very impressed.'

His opposite number Anthony Shannon reflected on a slighly disappointing end to the best ever cup run by the school. 'We tried to run the ball too much in the conditions.'

Sutton spared his team's blushes in a first half dominated by Borlase by slotting over two penalties for a 6-0 lead. England centre Simon Ward cut the deficit with a penalty but then the Pangbourne pack took control and the visotors eased furth ahead with aconverted Arthur Conisbee try andanother Sutton penalty.

Marlow No 8 Tom Guest should have rallied Borlase with a blindside try but the home side tired and Pangbourne took advantage to score two more tries involving Sutton. He set up Ed Field and then scored himself ust before the end to secure a sixth round home game with Truro.
