Jay Tabb may be forced to start more games on the bench despite his injury-time winner at Wycombe.

Brentford manager Wally Downes is anxious to protect his 19-year-old, and said: "It's difficult to keep Jay down because he wants to play every game.

"But if I think he needs the rest I have no qualms about leaving him on the sidelines." Substitute Tabb's header, following Eddie Hutchinson's goal, gave Brentford a 2-1 win.
