Sunderland priced out of move for Spain's £10m diamond Guiza

Sunderland appear to have been priced out of a move for Spain striker Daniel Guiza.

The 27-year-old, who scored in Spain's Euro 2008 semi-final triumph over Russia, has been valued at £10million by his club Majorca on the back of his performances in Austrian and Switzerland.

Black Cats’ manager Roy Keane and chairman Niall Quinn are set to baulk at that asking price as Guiza was used only sparingly as a substitute by national coach Luis Aragones.

Guiza was La Liga's top goalscorer last season, netting 27 times.
