Stelios starts mind games

14 April 2012

Greece midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos started mind games with Portugal by claiming the pressure was all on the hosts for Saturday's opening game of Euro 2004.

He said: "We are of course stressed playing in the opening match but we are not as stressed as the Portuguese. They are the favourites with everything to lose."

Greece are playing in their second European Championship and will have to do better than their two previous appearances at major tournaments - the 1994 World Cup and 1980 European Championship - where they failed to register a win.
