Sri Lanka pile on the runs

Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene all hit half-centuries to take Sri Lanka into a strong position on the third day of the First Test against Pakistan in Faisalabad.

Trailing by 21 runs on first innings, the visitors lost Marvan Atapattu to Shoaib Akhtar for nought for the second time in the match. But Sangakkara raced to 59, Jayawardene made 57 and with Jayasuriya moving to 84 not out, Sri Lanka were 195 in front on 216 for three.
