Spurs hope to snap up wide boys

Tottenham plan to continue their summer recruitment by landing two highly-rated right wingers.

Wayne Routledge and Aaron Lennon are both set to join in moves which could hasten the departure of Wales international Simon Davies.

Sporting director Frank Arnesen tried to sign 20-yearold-Routledge in January but failed to agree a fee with Crystal Palace.

He has maintained his interest and should pay significantly less than the £2million Spurs were offering five months ago.

Lennon, 18, is an exciting prospect and cash-strapped Leeds are ready to accept a bid of around £1.4m. Both players would link up with other new arrivals Paul Stalteri, Tom Huddlestone and Teemu Tainio.

Everton are expected to revive interest in Davies but Arnesen said: "If Simon is happy, he will stay here."
