There will be public viewing areas all along the route from Mansion House to Trafalgar Square.

But spectators are advised to arrive early, as large numbers are expected to attend and viewing areas will close once they reach full capacity.

A giant screen will be set up in Trafalgar Square showing live coverage. BBC1, Channel 4 and Sky will also broadcast the event. Organisers have urged the public not to follow the parade as it moves along.

There will also be road closures and restricted access along the route, which will affect motorists, public transport and pedestrians. The route has several stewarded disabled viewing areas: at Mansion House, St Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar Square. City Hall said: “To travel to the route, please use public transport, cycle or walk. Marshals and stewards will be on hand to help.”
