Juande Ramos will have to stump up more than £12million for Russia centre forward Roman Pavlyuchenko.

The 26-year-old is under contract at Spartak Moscow, who will not allow him to leave on the cheap.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly had a £10million offer for one of the stars of Euro 2008 rejected by Spartak last week and White Hart Lane officials are believed to be considering an increased offer.


Spartak general director Sergei Shavlo declared last week: 'We have received two offers. One of them is from an English team.

'Since it's not a team playing in European Champions League we are more likely than not to reject their offer.'
